This is at a damn Dodge dealership, how do you still get this wrong?
About 30% of the Challengers I’ve looked at tonight are autos listed as manuals.
Also, I know these are cheap wheels but they look sooooo good on a Challenger:

But the paddles on the wheel let you change the gears yourself! That makes it a manual right?

probably using idiots who don’t know their arse from their elbow.

What do you mean? Don’t you see the M logo on the gearshift? All the fun of choosing your own gears without the worrysome clutch. All gain no pain!
...until the ECU decides you don’t control your car anymore. Then all the gain goes away.

That style of wheel looks great on everything.

That’s pretty mean to people who were born with assholes on their elbows, man.

True fact, the cars are typically listed by the finance or accounting departments. No one that is into cars has anything to do with the listings.

Never trust a dealership to get anything correct.

Awful, just... awful.

I almost get it being listed as a manual because of the paddle shift. even though it’s wrong. However, listing the wrong transmission in the description is terrible.

I’m a professional racing driver then, because Forza!

Dealers do not do this on purpose. Let me explain why.
I manage inventories for a large family of dealerships. Like most dealerships, we use a DMS to syndicate all of our inventory across Cars, AutoTrader, eBay, our main website, etc.
Because transmission information is not defined by the VIN, when it is decoded by the software within a DMS, it will display the standard transmission....Which is most cases, is a manual transmission.
So, it’s not that dealers want to label cars with paddle-shifters as manuals, but rather it’s evidence of their lack of effort to display their inventory correctly online.
This is just one of many little things that dealers fail to do when writing up their inventory. I take great pride in the quality of my dealership’s website and the experience it allows the customers to have.
